In 2011 LEROY MERLIN Greece decided to venture out of Greece and open a store in Nicosia, Cyprus.
The development strategy of LEROY MERLIN is based on the knowledge of the habits of customers and adapting the range and organization of the store to their needs. Before opening the store, visits to the homes of customers were conducted to identify the daily routines of residents in order to adjust the range to local needs.

Therefore, all the products in the new store are tailored to the needs of customers in the region.
The opening of a LEROY MERLIN store economically benefits the community and neighboring areas by creating about 100 permanent jobs. It is also important to note that recruitment is carried out in close cooperation with local institutions and authorities. LEROY MERLIN also develops strong partnerships with local suppliers giving them the opportunity to have access to the international market.
